Health Care Worker Grade 1-3 (Classification dependent upon skills/experience)

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking expressions of interest from capable and reliable candidates to join Andrews House, our Aged Care Facility in Trafalgar on a casual basis. It is envisioned that duties will primarily involve providing personal care to patients and residents but may involve any number of reasonable tasks in order to support daily operations.
The Andrews House team works together in a friendly work environment that is resident focused and community minded. We offer a “Smart Lift” program, in house salary packaging, free car parking and a supportive learning environment.
We have casual opportunities available - casuals are used on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts - days, nights and weekends.
We are looking for applicants that:
- Have a relevant qualification (or be working towards a qualification)
- Have previous experience in the provision of personal care.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in personal care with empathy and respect for patients.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills.
- A mature working attitude and good problem solving skills.
- Understands the importance of working within safe practice principles.
- Have flexibility with rostering and the ability to work across a variety of shifts
- Have a demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies), including a booster. Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a NDIS worker screening clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
