Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking applications for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic position to join our Workshop Team in Stuart Park and Berrimah.

Working with a small team, this position will be responsible for but not limited to servicing, repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles, including fault finding and diagnostics to assist the prevention of breakdowns or reduce downtime.

To be considered for this role, the candidate will require the following;

Qualifications

• A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic 
• Minimum 2 years experience in the industry
• Minimum MR licence with H endorsement (desirable)
• Working with Children Clearance (desirable)

Experience

• Diesel mechanical experience with Mercedes Benz, MAN, Toyota vehicles
• Basic auto electrical experience
• Ability to carry out vehicle inspections/ maintenance – preferably in Heavy Vehicles
• Forklift Licence (desirable, not essential)

Skills

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative, and work effectively under pressure
• Problem-solving, being able to think outside the square

Knowledge

• High level of knowledge of engines, transmissions, and computer diagnostic experience
• Basic knowledge of electrical components
