HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD TECHNICIAN
Edmonton, AB
Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Field Technician based in our location in Edmonton, AB. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with occasional overtime required and some travel to various site locations.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, testing and inspecting both mobile and crawler hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, trailers and light duty vehicles within an industry leading PM program.
- Determine parts required for service and repair to equipment in Sterling Crane's Fleet.
- Provide detailed repair comments in both paper and electronic work order format.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman preferred but willing to accept 3rd or 4th year apprentice is preferred but all will be considered.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong working knowledge of Link-Belt, Liebherr, Grove, Demag and Tadano crane manufacturers is an asset.
- CVIP license or willing to enter the CVIP program.
- Working experience in electrical and hydraulic systems is required.
- Must supply own hand tools, and a valid driver's license.
- The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 955 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
