Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Diesel Fitter to join their team, 7/7 days on/off, followed by 7/7 nights rotating roster F.I.F.O from Adelaide to Point of Hire.

Currently, they are seeking a Heavy-Duty Mobile Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team on a 1-week-on, 1-week-off rotating roster, F.I.F.O from Adelaide, South Australia.
This position is particularly suitable for individuals who possess a strong background in Mobile Plant/diesel mechanics/hydraulics/electrical systems but may not have prior experience in maintaining and repairing Underground Mining machinery. However, they should be open to learning and gaining expertise in this area through initial training in a workshop environment before being ready to work on-site. The ideal candidate for this opportunity should be willing relocate to or is currently residential based in Adelaide SA, and FIFO from Adelaide to the Point of Hire in Roxby Downs.
Requirements:
- Carrying out underground/onsite field service preventative maintenance, and breakdowns services.
- Carrying out all task with the highest safety standards and to OEM specifications.
- Competent with the ability to read and interpret fundamental hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Diagnostic & troubleshooting with scan tools/ CANBUS / electronic rig control system to identify engine fault codes.
- Adhering and committed to company's health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Identifying malfunction and troubleshooting minor/major breakdowns services and repair.
- Delivering effective field service and employing problem-solving skills to ensure optimal availability and reliability of a diverse array of mining equipment. This encompasses underground rock drills, mine trucks, loaders, drill rigs, and charging equipment from reputable brands such as Atlas Copco/Epiroc, Caterpillar, Sandvik/Epiroc, and Normet. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining high mobile fleet availability and reliability, thereby facilitating seamless operations in both underground and surface mining environments
You are required to hold a trade certification in Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology on the maintenance and repairing of Heavy Mobile Plant machinery in the mining, construction, agricultural/forestry and earth-moving industry, or possess relevant trade experience in heavy commercial road transport/automotive areas. You should have demonstrated problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Your capabilities should include exceptional mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities, fault-finding expertise, and troubleshooting proficiency. You should also be proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic and low-voltage electrical schematics. Strong communication skills are essential, as they enable you to cultivate long-term customer relationships
