About Us
The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position
Team Stirling is currently looking for a suitably qualified Heavy Plant Operator with HR truck licence to operate a range of specialist plant and machines relating to pressure cleaning and sweeping, in accordance with a schedule and as directed.
Key Responsibilities
Along with being safety conscious you will be experienced in operating machinery in public areas and have good communication skills that will enable you to communicate effectively with the general public, colleagues and supervisors.
About You
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable and flexible with regard to working hours. This role requires a clean bill of health and good fitness as there is a requirement for some manual labour operating leaf blower/rake etc. You will be required to undergo a full medical check.
Current models of plant to be operated include Hako 2250 and other road sweepers as required.
To be considered for this role, you’ll possess the following skills and/or qualifications:
Previous experience operating similar plant and equipment.
Significant organisational and scheduling skills.
Ability to read maps and plans.
Demonstrated experience in operating a mid-sized road scrubber or sweeper

The salary for this position will be from $72,715 - $76,547 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
