Having recently celebrated our 17th year in business, we are in a rapid growth mode, expanding to 20+ locations over the next 15 years. Due to an increase in demand for our high-quality training, we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Heavy Plant Trainers/Assessors to join our team.  
 
About the role 
 
This role will report to the Operations Manager in Belmont as well as direct leadership from on-shift training supervisors. You will be responsible for the training and upskilling in heavy mobile equipment and production critical equipment to our clientele across the Pilbara in line with provisions in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and relevant company policies. 
  
FIFO Available from all major airports 
 
We are looking for trainers who would be interested in working the following hours:  
 
12hr day shift. 
 
As part of our Training team, the key focus for this role will be to deliver some or all of the mobile plant and equipment listed below.  
 
  • Production Excavator (Hitachi EX3600, Komatsu PC5500) 
  • Dozer (CAT D9-D11) 
  • Grader (CAT 16M – CAT 24M) 
  
Additionally, our trainers contribute to the development of our programs and resource materials, participate in moderation, validation, and assessment processes. They provide ongoing support to our leaners and deliver nationally recognised qualifications. 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for training and working with learners, operators, and industry stakeholders. The delivery model will be onsite workplace-based training and assessment for a variety of learners, being a mix of experienced industry workers, operators, and career starters. 
 
Mandatory Requirements: 
 
To be considered for the role, you will have: 
  
  • TAE40122 / TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR TAE40110 (including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 or equivalent; OR hold Diploma TAE;  
  • Mining Industry experience and safety orientated; 
  • Experience in operating & training heavy mobile equipment; 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; 
  • Experience in supporting learners with LLN challenges; 
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision; 
  • Willingness and ability to travel 
  • Continuous improvement mindset
