Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to be based in our Townsville Depot.
- General service and maintenance of all our vehicles and trailers including light vehicles.
- Co-ordinating work with outside workshops and repairers and approval of their scope of works.
- Electronic data entry for all vehicle service, maintenance, and repair records to NHVAS compliance standards.
- Electronic data entry for all vehicle cost records.
- Maintain a safe and tidy workshop.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance and parts inventory.

Skills and Experience
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Qualification
- Experience working with Heavy Vehicles including prime movers, rigids, and trailers as well as light vehicles.
- Experience working with Fuel Tankers will be a strong advantage.
- Valid driver's license (HR and MC licence will be an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience in accurate electronic data entry for service records with emphasis on impeccable record keeping, attention to details and timeliness.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet fleet scheduling
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

IOR operates its own national network of vehicle refuelling outlets and fuel distribution depots throughout regional Australia. To service this fuel distribution business, we own and operate a significant fuel transportation division consisting of a modern fleet of Kenworths and Holmwood trailers in Rigid, B Double and MC configurations. We also operate a large fleet of 4WD light vehicles.
