BGT Jobs & Training are currently looking for two Business Trainee’s to play a vital role in service delivery and administration for Hepburn Shire Council.
1 year traineeships located in Daylesford
The Roles:
People and Culture Trainee
Working across three key service areas of Human Resources, Work Health and Safety and Customer Experience you will be responsible for:
- Initial preparation of routine correspondence
- Receiving and responding to routine telephone and email enquiries
- Assist with the administration of People & Culture inboxes and assign tasks to team members
- Assist with the organising of interviews and other recruitment/onboarding activities as requested.
- Prepare and arrange training resources such as room, catering and attendance registers for all three areas.
- Assist with a range of administrative functions such as raising purchase orders, auditing/filing and maintaining accurate records across the three areas.
- Provide coverage and assistance at Council’s various locations for Customer Service kiosk (will be partnered at all times).
Finance Trainee
- Assist with or undertake routine preparation of correspondence
- Assist with or undertake routine processing and accounting activities for banking, accounts payable, receivables, payroll and reporting systems.
- Support the Rates function in data processing and responding to incoming queries in a timely and effective manner
- Assist with the administration of council’s banking and investment requirements.
- Assist with the administration of procurement and contract management projects.
- Contribute to nominated projects as requested
- Undertake financial liaison with Council Groups as required. This role incorporates the key elements of systems, finance, and budget analysis support.
