Situated in the beautiful South West of Western Australia, just a short 2½ hours drive to Perth and only 15 minutes to a coastal regional City with all amenities, this Dairy farm is ideally located and a great opportunity for someone with cattle experience looking to take the next step in their career, while enjoying that perfect work life balance that the south west has to offer.Our client has an opportunity for a Herd Manager for an immediate start to join the team of 4 full time dairy staff and the farm owner. This is a great opportunity for those looking at stepping up in their career as management experience is not essential and training will be offered to the right candidate.Good things to know:

• 15kms from Busselton;
• 30kms from Dunsborough;
• 50kms from Margaret River;
• Close to Primary and Secondary schools, with a school bus stop close to the property;
• Close to sporting, shopping and medical amenities;
• Career opportunities in nearby Busselton for partner.

Duties include:

• Managing staff roster;
• Responsible for day to day staff management;
• Managing the herd of 900 head of cattle, including all animal husbandry duties (vaccinations etc.);
• Artificial Insemination (AI);
• Any other duties associated with day to day operations.

About You:

• You must have previous Dairy experience;
• You will be someone who is good with animals and has previous cattle experience with animal husbandry skills;
• You will have Artificial Insemination (AI) skills and experience;
• You will be a team player;
• You will be easy going and have good communication skills;
• You will have a keen attitude;
• Someone who is fit with no pre-existing injuries;
• A non smoker is preferred - there is a strict non smoking policy in the workplace and in the accommodation provided on farm;
• Mechanical skills and aptitude will be an advantage;
• Management experience is not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.

• Dairy is a Modern Rotary Setup;
• Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience);
• Accommodation: 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with pool, on property (includes power and water);
