We are seeking two experienced Heritage Advisors at Senior and Intermediate level, to join our Planning, Approvals and Heritage group in Melbourne, and make a valued contribution to our strong pipeline projects.
You’ll support and deliver projects of varied scale and complexity, both in Victoria and nationally, giving you opportunities to grow your skillset in our multidisciplinary environment.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Managing heritage advice and approvals processes for a diverse range of projects in Victoria and nationally
- Working on projects across the property and buildings, transport, water, energy and resources, and environment market sectors
- Investigating and reporting on a wide range of heritage matters, including statutory approvals and consultation with Traditional Owners, through field and desktop work
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal specialists and sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils.
- Supporting and contributing to the continued development of our team’s technical skills through mentorship
- Developing and supporting new business opportunities within the Cultural Heritage sector within Victoria and nationally
What would you bring to the team?
- 4 or more years of experience across heritage approval processes under the Heritage Act 2017 and the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
- Experience with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is preferred but not a requirement.
- Experience working with state and territory legislation and heritage approval processes.
- A Bachelor’s degree, and Honours or post graduate qualifications in archaeology, cultural heritage management, conservation architecture or related field.
- Meeting the requirements to be a heritage advisor under Section 189(1) of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and The Minister’s Guidelines on Appropriate qualifications for Heritage Advisors is essential.
- Experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred, with a natural ability to build positive client relationships and openness to identifying and developing new business.
