Role OverviewThe
Corporate Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in SA Health, contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and performance frameworks. With a focus on financial analyses and reporting services, the role involves preparing critical Australian Institute of Health and Welfare reports and contributing to the preparation of Portfolio bilateral budget information. The position demands an adept handling of large volumes of data, requiring the ability to articulate complex financial situations in a comprehensible manner for informed decision-making by Executive, Cabinet, or Parliament. As the
Corporate Finance Analyst you will collaborate closely with units within the Corporate Services Division, Local Health Networks, SA Ambulance Service, and external entities like the Department of Treasury and Finance.This position requires a strategic mindset to efficiently contribute to the organisation's financial management and operational objectives. The ideal candidate must champion change management initiatives, provide high-level strategic expertise, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Corporate Services Division. The role demands a proven track record in resource management, business case development, and a comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting standards and practices. To be successful, you must effectively communicate, influence, and collaborate to drive positive outcomes within a commercially sensitive environment.
Requirements:- Experience in resource management, undertaking business case development and analysis and developing strategies to improve performance.
- Significant experience in providing advice and support to a range of clients and stakeholders resulting in improved business operations.
- Proven high level analytical capabilities as they apply to finance and the ability to develop and implement operational and strategic solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform research and analysis of financial and non-financial data, trends and outcomes and utilise database tools to generate reports and information for Management to review.
- Knowledge of financial and other accounting standards, structures, and practices including complex accounting concepts of consolidated and eliminated financial information.
