What are we looking for?

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Holiday Park 2IC at BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park. With a strong background in customer service, building and grounds maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuation of operational activities and staff management. This is a fun and varied role, which requires the successful candidate to demonstrate supervisory skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to work well under pressure. This position will require the successful applicant to manage the park in the absence of the Holiday Park Managers with varied shifts and two overnights per week in available accommodation. This position offers the chance for the right person to gain valuable management experience within a Holiday Park environment.

Your responsibilities (not limited to):

• Working as part of a team to maintain an exceptional standard of customer service and presentation throughout the park.
• Managing the team in the absence of the Manager.
• General maintenance on all buildings, including guest accommodation, utilities services, pool, playground area and all plant equipment and vehicles.
• Grounds maintenance, including gardens, hardscape and outdoor assets as well as outdoor equipment.
• Following procedure to handle complaints/emergencies should they arise.
• After hours work required.
• Training new staff and adhering to The Bend’s policies / procedures. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• The ability to work unsupervised and maintain exceptional standards across the park.
• The ability to multi – task, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Holiday park / accommodation experience desirable.
• Grounds and general maintenance experience.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and other office applications.
• Current police clearance, or able to obtain one.
• Current first aid certificate, or able to obtain one.
• Driver's licence.
• DCSI clearance for working with children, or able to obtain one.
