How you’ll make an impact
As a Home Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that supports a trusting and long term relationship with our customers and delivers our Mission through “being for others”.
Our Support Workers meet the changing needs of customers supporting them in their homes and whilst out in the community through the provision of flexible services including personal and respite care, social support, domestic assistance, overnight care and 24 hour support.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting clients with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, assistance in the community and being their companion
- Qualified Support Workers will also support clients with personal care, assistance with mobility and prompting with medication
- Providing support to a range of clients including those living with dementia to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
- Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer as per Calvary Community Care’s Service Delivery Model.
- Report changes in customer’s health, care plans or if additional services are needed.
About you
- Completed Certificate III in Individual Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR
- Current full drivers licence as well as a reliable motor vehicle (fully registered and insured)
- Smart mobile phone or device
- NDIS Clearance and current Police Check issued within the last 6months (or willingness to obtain one)
- Access to the internet and proficiency in the use of smart phones, computers, and the internet
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
