We are currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated Hook Truck Driver to join our team and contribute to the success of our company.
Job Summary:
As a Hook Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role with the responsibility for the loading, transport and unloading of a vast array of bins to various customers throughout Tasmania. The ideal candidate will be reliable, comfortable working independently, possess a strong work ethic, and be a valuable asset to our company.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate a Hook Truck to transport Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of bins.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Uphold the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and waste management best practices.
Requirements
• Valid HR/HC driver's license
• Previous experience as a Hook Truck Driver or in a similar role would be beneficial, but full training is provided.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent reliability and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour as required.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends. Shift hours will be 10-12 hours a day.
