About the Role
The role involves managing the horticultural research area, which encompasses diversified fruit, vegetable and tree crops. As the Horticultural Manager, you will also contribute to the broadacre research projects as needed. Your leadership will be integral to expanding the company's client base, effectively conducting research trials, and ensuring diligent team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of the Living Farm Horticultural portfolio.
- Resource, manage, and implement the research program.
- Build and maintain client and grower relationships.
- Ensure adherence to all Living Farm policies and a commitment to team cohesion and punctuality.
The Ideal Candidate
- A degree in Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a similar discipline is ideal. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Essential experience includes project and team management, with a special focus on horticultural trials.
- Previous involvement with stakeholder or grower relationship management is crucial.
- Advanced project management skills, field research expertise, in-depth decision-making capabilities, and high-level statistical analysis.
