HORTICULTURAL SALES AND DEVELOPMENT - FULL TIME

Lefroy Valley is a wholly Australian-owned company, working within the Australian vegetable seed market. We have a 40 year history in the industry, we distribute a full range of products, from some of the World’s leading Vegetable Breeding companies and offer an exciting opportunity to be part of this successful team.
 

Key Activities

Sales: Manage an existing client portfolio, promoting our range directly to growers, plant nurseries or through other marketing channels

Product Development: Understanding the customer’s needs and then identifying the best products to fill that need, is a key part of the role. To fulfill that aim, you will plan and conduct variety trials with our customers, highlighting the agronomic traits of our varieties 

Relationship Development: Lefroy Valley has a customer first approach, where we want to add value to our customer’s business through our activity with them.  You will take the time to learn about the customer’s business, their needs, any product gaps and suggest the best option for them from our range.   

Region:  You will service existing customers in Victoria and Southern NSW, although the ability to identify and develop new opportunities is a key part of the role.

If you have the following competencies, you are encouraged to apply for the position:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills aimed at honest and open relationship building with customers
  • The ability to successfully organise, manage and grow a sales territory
  • A tertiary qualification and/or, relevant experience in the horticultural/agricultural industry
  • The right person for us may or may not be formally qualified, although a genuine enthusiasm for the role and the industry is required
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working either as part of a team or and  independently
  • The role is based out of our Carrum Downs (VIC) head office and the successful applicant must have the authority to work in Australia, prior to commencement.  We are unable to offer sponsorship.
