As a Horticultural Specialist within a dedicated Local Council team, you will be instrumental in the care and enhancement of Kew's public spaces. Hourly rate: $33 - $40 + super
38 per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
Employ best horticultural practices to maintain plant health and garden aesthetics
Conduct internal audits and site assessments to prioritise work effectively
Manage and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring optimal operation
Perform site audits, ensuring adherence to quality and standards
Uphold all OHS and Risk Management protocols to ensure a safe workplace
Suggest site redevelopments and planting requirements
Conduct minor equipment maintenance to keep tools in top condition
About You:
Certificate 3 in Horticulture or equivalent
Holds an Australian manual driver's licence; Front End Loader and Light Rigid Truck Licence preferred
Certificates in Traffic Control, Agvet Chemical Use, and Front-End Loader competency are advantageous
Demonstrated experience in high-quality open space horticultural maintenance
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload efficiently
Proficient in plant cultivation, identification, pruning, weed control, and irrigation system maintenance
Familiarity with OH&S practices specific to parks and gardens maintenance
Competent in using minor horticultural machinery and mobile technology
Physically fit to meet the role's demands
