About the role
We are seeking self-motivated Hospitality staff with excellent customer service skills to immediately start and join our Hospitality Team at Bribie Island Aged Care Service.
You will be providing services to our residents including preparing and delivering all meals including breakfasts, lunches and dinners at our facility located in beautiful Bribie Island. If applying for the cleaner vacancy, you will be maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility's residential areas.
This is a physically demanding and busy environment but at the end of your day you will go home knowing that you made a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
These roles are permanent, part-time and provide flexibility across a 7-day roster including evenings and weekends.
In these roles you will be responsible for:
- Exceptional customer service, serving food to elderly residents;
- Setting up and clearing dining rooms and tray service to resident rooms;
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
- Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility's residential areas.
We are currently looking for someone passionate about working in either Food Services or Cleaning, however, occasionally, depending on the service's requirements, your day may also include laundry tasks like washing, drying and folding linen and clothing as per the attached position description.
About you
You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. Passionate about working in hospitality, you don't mind helping out with other duties when required. Working in a fast-pace environment you are committed to provide excellent customer service to our residents. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.
Ideally you will have:
- Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and/or Certificate II in Cleaning Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
- Experience working in hospitality including hotels, restaurants and catering as well as within the Aged Care industry is desirable but not essential as we will provide you with training to succeed in this role;
- Experience in operating equipment associated with cooking and cleaning is desirable;
- Current National Police Certificate.
