Multi Hotel - Hotel Accountant
Mercure Penrith is looking for a full time Hotel Accountant to join our finance hub who is responsible for Mercure Penrith, Ibis Budget Perth and UniLodge Carlton Melbourne.
We are looking for a finance expert who is has a strong attention to detail, can multi task efficiently and enjoys the challenge of working in a Finance hub taking care of different hotel brands. You must enjoy working as part team who supports each other throughout the hotel.
The role is based at the Mercure Penrith located in the well-known Panthers Precinct, home of the Penrith Panthers and the Panthers Leagues Club. We welcome a diverse range of guests every day with a mix of corporate and leisure guests.

What you will be doing: - Accounts payable function for three hotels.
- Weekly payroll process and reporting.
- End of month reporting, forecasting & budgeting.
- Revenue and expense auditing
- Preparation of quarterly BAS reporting
- Provide support and assistance to Financial Controller as required and oversee Finance department in absence of Financial Controller.
- Your experience and skills include:
- Accounts payable working with Sun Systems. (Purchase Plus would be advantageous)
- Payroll processing using Wage Easy or similar payroll system.
- General Ledger Management
- Previous experience and understanding of Opera/Opera Cloud PMS and RMS hotel management systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues and streamline hotel processes.
