About us
Situated in Sale, Central Gippsland, Victoria, the award-winning Criterion Hotel Sale is a multi-faceted hospitality business with 16 boutique-style accommodation rooms, a bistro with lunch and dinner service seven days a week, several event spaces, and numerous offsite functions.
Position
The hotel manager will work closely with the hotel owners and will be mainly responsible for the day-to-day running of the hotel. This will include but not limited to staff recruitment training, purchasing, and marketing of the Hotel.
The hotel manager will receive an attractive remuneration, aligned with industry standards plus penalties. There is potential for a visa sponsorship, if it is proven that you suit the position well.
Success criteria
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Minimum qualification equivalent to an Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in hospitality (e.g., hospitality management, hotel management, etc.)
A genuine passion for professional growth within the hospitality industry
Enthusiastic, patient, honest, optimist and works with integrity
Determined to provide exceptional customer satisfaction
Exceptional Accommodation, food & beverage knowledge
Can orchestrate functions and events from enquiry through to pack down
Capable of managing across multiple outlets simultaneously
Financial literacy and understanding of controls (wages & expenses) with a strong focus on compliance
Strong communication & computer skills including, P.O.S. systems, Office365 & Canva
Ability to build and mentor a team
