The Program:
The Mylor Adventure Camp is located 35 minutes from Adelaide CBD in the Adelaide Hills and caters to small and large groups looking to connect to themselves, others, God and the natural world through outdoor experiences.
About the Role - 12 Month Max Term Contract Part-Time (0.8 FTE)
The Housekeeper plays a key role in achieving Baptist Care SA, Adventure Pathways purpose of Helping people to connect with themselves, others, God and the natural world through outdoor experiences.
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and appeal throughout Adventure Camp accommodation, buildings and surrounds.
The role requires a practical person with attention to detail who understands the importance of maintaining a spic and span campsite for guests. At its core, this position exists to help ensure that the Adventure Camp grounds and facilities are consistently presented to a high standard.
It takes a small army of enthusiastic, caring and capable people to ensure our guests have the BEST CAMP EVER! And you can be part of it!
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Working collaboratively with the Hospitality team in preparing the campsite to a high standard prior to the arrival of guests
- Regular cleaning tasks, such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, windows, and laundry
- Ensuring dorms, ensuites and common areas are kept clean and tidy
- Maintaining lists of upcoming camps and events to ensure all required cleaning tasks are planned and completed
- Documenting repairs and breakages

You are an approachable and friendly person, who enjoys working in a varied role. You will be proactive, have a no-job is too small attitude and be willing to go above and beyond to help your team. You will also have the following skills and experience:
- The ability to work as part of a team to ensure tasks are achieved effectively and to a high standard
- The ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, from camp group leaders, peers etc
- High levels of attention to detail and customer service
- Experience working in a housekeeping role
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety requirements, as well as cleaning guidelines
Specific Requirements:
Baptist Care SA is committed to the safety and protection of all children and vulnerable people and as such applicants will be considered in accordance with our safety practices and suitability.
You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:
- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- Safe Environments for Children and Young People training
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Valid and current First Aid and CPR training
