Housekeeping Attendant - Camps

• Fly in Fly Out role - 14 Days on and 7 Days off.
• Work Schedule: 10 Hours shift Daily.
• Food, Uniform, and Accommodation provided.
• Based in Chinchilla & Surat Region
• Multiple roles

Reporting to the Assistant Facilities Manager, the primary focus is on efficiently managing and executing accommodation rooms cleaning, offices, public areas, and mine-site cleaning during dedicated shifts at the designated camp and related facilities.

Role and Responsibilities

Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Attendant include:

• Supporting the Housekeeping services operations of a Remote FIFO Residential Village with occupancy of 50 - 200 residents
• Reporting to Assistant Facilities Manager, manage and execute Accommodation rooms cleaning, offices, public areas and mine-site cleaning on a dedicated shift at the designated camp and related facilities.
• Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS Food safety program and BGIS business systems
• OHS & E policies and procedures are met in the catering operations.
• Work closely with Assistant Facility Manager to ensure delivery of accommodation rooms cleaning, offices, public areas and mine-site cleaning services are executed according to contract scope.
• Housekeeping and cleaning tasks completed as per daily schedule and effective time management.
• Actively coordinate camp arrivals and departures with the Assistant facility manager and follow cleaning schedules.
• Customer service excellence and interactions while on shift
• Ensure full compliance with BGIS business systems, including the Quality Management System (QMS), Occupational Health& Safety System(OH&S) and Environmental Management System (EMS);
• Understand the WHSE requirements and processes for work tasks and the elimination of workplace hazards.
• Participate in near miss, hazard and incident reporting;
• Conduct work activities in accordance with procedures, equipment, and training and in accordance with BGIS Management system.
• Report hazards, unsafe work practices, near misses, or incident immediately to your supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Familiar with OH&S, QA and systems

Desirable

• Strong demonstrated experience in Remote camp cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Experience in using cleaning equipment and tools.
• Experienced working in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Experience and capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S and environmental systems.
• Written and verbal communication skills
