About the Role
As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for the housekeeping department operations. You will work closely with your GM and FOM to maintain the high standard of appearance that is required, this includes in the suites, public area’s and back of house.
Your key responsibilities
- Daily allocations of rooms and duties.
- Manage all training of staff.
- Co-ordination of workforce to meet daily deadlines.
- Delivering efficient preparation, cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards and guest expectations.
- Effective time management capabilities with a methodical management style.
- Attend to guest enquiries and requests.
To be successful in this role you will
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Have a proven track record in providing excellent accommodation standards in a 4 or 4.5-star hotel environment.
- Have proven leadership abilities.
- Possess in depth industry knowledge.
- Have a natural eye for detail when it comes to cleanliness and the overall operations of housekeeping.
- Be immaculately presented.
- Focused and passionate about guest service.
- Team oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Physically fit
- Experienced with hotel computer systems. We use Protel and Flexkeeping.
