About the role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our Housekeeping team on. This role is very physical. The hours on offer are spread across a rotating 7-day roster with day shifts commencing between 7-9am (no nights). Weekend availability is essential to be considered for this role.
An overview of some of the tasks you will be required to complete are;
- Cleaning all accommodation and amenity facilities to high level.
- Ensure all guest common area toilet and shower facilities are clean and smell fresh.
- All common area toilet and shower facilities to be fully stocked with toilet paper and hand wash.
- Ensure all internal and external Public Areas are cleaned during multiple times through the day.
- Ensure window sills are wiped and all windows are cleaned using window cleaner (excluding windows that require specialty cleaning i.e. equipment & ladders).
- Dust and wipe walls, doors, and table tops, walls to be kept mark free, all doors to be washed down as necessary.
- To follow and complete public area cleaning daily check lists.
- Understand all functions happening at the Lodge and provide cleaning at time critical points.
To act upon guest requests and special requirements where necessary.
- Any maintenance to be reported to housekeeping manager.
To pass on all information relevant to all Public Areas to supervisor, e.g. maintenance issues, special requirements and requests etc.
- Follow procedures for all waste disposal and recycling.
- Pass on any personal requests or preferences from guests to your supervisor.
- Undertake other duties, which may be allocated from time to time, as requested by your housekeeping supervisor or designated i.e. room cleans, deep cleans.
- Report to reception any lost and found articles.

Skills and experience
This is a multi-skilled, multi-outlet position and applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Previous experience in a similar role with an Eco-friendly or remote location hotel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with excellent time management.
- Previous chemical handling experience.
- Well presented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong organisational skills with clear focus on quality and standards.
Binna Burra Lodge is located in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland's, this is a 35 minute drive from Nerang, 60 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 90 minutes from Brisbane.
Own transport is essential, no public transport or onsite accommodation, complimentary staff parking on-site.
