BallyCara, 'The Village of Friends', is seeking a part time Housekeeper to provide quality housekeeping and laundry services within our Residential community.
The role within the BallyCara residential community will significantly impact the lives and well-being of each resident. In an aged care setting, maintaining cleanliness is paramount to health, and your responsibility will involve ensuring our residents feel comfortable with the cleanliness of their living spaces and communal areas.
Daily tasks will include cleaning common areas, cleaning of residents' rooms and bathrooms, staff kitchens and office spaces, disposing of rubbish, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and working in the laundry.
You will be able to work a variety of the following days or all days: Tuesday to Saturday, and when required have flexibility and willingness to accommodate roster changes across the full week to suit operational needs when team members are on leave or ill.

Previous cleaning experience & knowledge of chemical handling, preferably in aged care environment
Empathy, patience and understanding, a great sense of humour and a positive approach to ageing.
Able to adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and on occasion work independently
Ability to prioritises tasks
Physically fit to be able to perform various tasks of the role
Are punctual and reliable
Are flexible to work weekends and cover leave as needed
Willing to undertake a pre-employment functional assessment
Position Requirements:
Be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate through BallyCara
COVID-19 vaccinations
Desirable - current Flu vaccination
NDIS Worker screening check may be a requirement for this role
