An opportunity has become available for a HR Operations Consultant within Suncorp Group’s People and Culture Team. This role offers the opportunity to gain HR exposure to everything from leave, pay, position management, HR quality assurance, employee movements and even HR automation and robotics!
What you’ll do
- Deliver HR operational processes by providing guidance consistent with established HR standards and practices to our internal customers (leaders and employees)
- Utilise internal record systems to track and record all transactions / queries to ensure the team have access to quality data from which to extract insight for our customers. Identify trends, emerging issues, and areas for continuous improvement
- Act at subject matter expert, including input into Standard Operating Process (SOP) reviews, establishing new and updating existing processes, quality assurance checks, training as required and supporting root cause analysis as needed
- Work collaboratively with our offshore Partner to maintain an efficient operations delivery through the provision of escalation support
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset and implement process enhancements to improve the customer experience
- Provide support with HR operational projects, including compliance and legislative changes, process improvements etc.
- Work fluidly, when required with other HR Teams to support workload during peak periods.
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications (complete or in progress) in either Human Resources, Business, or related discipline (highly desirable)
- 3 years’ experience in HR operations or similar operational environment (i.e., customer service, administration, business operations)
- Demonstrated experience in handling tasks independently or with limited guidance
- A customer obsessed mindset, ability to understand and interpret customer requirements and have the desire and ability to consistently exceed their expectations
- Strong business process knowledge and continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills with an ability to manage changing requirements and prioritise your own work
- Ability to analyse data to identify underlying issues and trends and use this information to present opportunities for improvement.
