Programmed’s Facility Management department are currently seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our Team. This integral role will provide you with the opportunity to lead and develop a high performing team within a supportive and collaborative environment. In this role, you will be accountable for the implementation and operation of Quality, Environmental and Safety Management Systems and Procedures for our client contract. This role combines the best of hands-on safety management with a strategic and operational focus towards the achievement of our zero/harm values.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive safety culture through the active management of WHS management systems, including providing specialist advice, support, training and education to staff.
- Apply contemporary risk management practice, undertake incident investigation and reporting, and facilitate WHS working groups including Health and Safety Representatives, First Aid Officers, and Emergency wardens.
- Conduct audits of the safety systems to determine the degree of compliance with KPI’s and targets, and provide feedback to the executive leadership team.
- Deliver safety reports, audit and inspection findings, including the reporting of hazards, incidents near misses and non-conformances.
- Coach and support leaders to drive & influence proactive safety behaviours and processes.
- Coordination of operational training and development
- Assist with inductions for service providers, contractors and staff so that they are able to undertake their duties in accordance with the standards required.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in Occupational Health & Safety, and a natural ability to bring people together as a leader who possesses first-class stakeholder engagement and customer service skills. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification Bachelor of Science (Health Safety and Environment) or relevant experience & qualification
- C class Drivers licence
- Construction White Card
- ICAM or equivalent investigation qualifications
- Auditor or Lead Auditor in OH&S systems (Desirable)
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (Desirable)
- Relevant experience in work health and safety in a complex organisation, including demonstrated knowledge of injury management and/or wellbeing practices.
- Experience in the provision of safety reporting including audits, investigations, inspections and the effective close out of corrective actions.
- Demonstrated analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate information, provide recommendations as well as identify current trends and issues; and plan the implementation of appropriate strategies.
- Experience in coordinating and delivering WHS training programs.
- Relevant experience in incident investigation
- Experience in managing injury management system.
- Ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation and develop applicable policy and procedures.
- Experience in implementing WHS management systems and processes.
- Experience in facilitating and writing risk assessments
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
