An industry leader, committed to sustainability and cutting-edge solutions, they are seeking a HSE Advisor to be responsible for a small number of production and manufacturing sites across Sydney and contribute to the continued success of operations.
Reporting into the National Head of HSE you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimise risks and promote a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of industrial facilities to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, focusing on the safe handling and storage of industrial materials.
  • Championship and support of the Company's "Zero Accident" goals.
  • Stay abreast of relevant health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards.
  • Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into daily operations and projects.
  • Advise on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper implementation.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness, communication, and continuous improvement.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret Standards and Regulations relating to HSE and Quality Management systems
  • Confident and autonomous and looking to make your mark in a multi-site role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
