We're looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our team at an exciting time as we re-define safety processes and practices in our Manufacturing plant and our Commercial operation to see us into the future. Based at our Manufacturing Plant at Dee Why, this position will play a key role as we further develop best practice Safety & Injury Management and support the execution of safety programs and return to work planning.

What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with key stakeholders to understand Prysmian’s HSE requirements and strive to maintain a continuously safe, healthy and sustainable workplace.
Develop and shape the Site Safety Culture across all functions and Team Members
Drive risk assessment processes with relevant stakeholders and team members.
Support the Plant Manager and Operations Managers to execute and deliver health and safety programs including local and global EHS requirements and audits.
Liaise with state and federal agencies to ensure all improvement notices, orders, etc. are escalated, managed, and closed out in an effective and timely manner.
Develop, support, monitor and participate in all site safety practices, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and rules.
Assist in the development and implementation of the ANZ HSE Management System that meet ISO45001 and ISO 14001audit needs
Complete monthly and ad hoc health and safety related reporting
Monitor & communicates any changes or new requirements associated with return to work and health & safety legislation and compliance to the business.
Support safety committee meetings including reporting and close out of actions/hazards raised
Manage return to work and injury management processes and activities (including non-work-related cases)
Work directly with 3rd party workers compensation providers, communicating with case managers, claims managers, approved rehabilitation providers and key stakeholders. This includes premium advice and assisting in the renewal of all workers compensation policies.
What you’ll need:
We're looking for an individual who has the drive and passion to ensure great safety and well-being outcomes for our people and our business. Someone who can engage with our employees to work through the RTW process to ensure a timely and safe transition to pre-injury duties, all whilst promoting positive Health & Safety culture & behaviours.
More specifically we're looking for the following skills, experience & attributes
A Degree in any discipline (this is a STEM position)
RTW certification is preferred, but not essential
Knowledge of the initiating and delivering risk assessment and incident investigation models
Previous experience in a similar role in generalist Health & Safety and workers compensation and injury management experience.
Previous experience in working in an environment with blue and white collar workers.
A proven ability to develop strong partnerships with and engage/influence key stakeholders
