HSE Coach - South Perth Based

Opportunity to join an established client for a 6 month project based in South Perth

Techforce Personnel are a national recruitment agency and project management firm specialising in blue- and white-collar recruitment across mining and resources, shutdowns, facilities maintenance, industrial services, civil construction and the oil and gas industries
Reporting to the Project HSE Manager, the primary responsibilities of the HSE Coach will be to manage the day-to-day HSE activities of the project, assisting in maintaining high safety standards whilst also guiding and coaching our site teams.
You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster, approximately 50 hours per week, on a 3 month Night shift basis initially. This will them transition to a day shift role. The role will be a salaried position of $140k base + Super. You will also receive 15% site uplift and an additional 15% night shift allowance
Main Responsibilities:

• Governance activities and coaching risk management guidelines
• Develop and review Safe Environmental Work Method Statements
• Assess and control of operational risks and hazards
• Conducting inductions and relevant HSE training
• Assist in the development of improvement strategies
• Coaching all staff on site to excel in their approach to HSE
• Weekly & monthly HSE Reporting
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, procedures and standards
• Assist in the improvement of HSE systems
• Championing audit compliance

Essential:

• Minimum of Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).
• 5-10 years experience within the resources sector.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Australian drivers licence
• SMP experience - essential
