COO APAC> Regional HSE APAC> Regional Service HSE APAC


 As a HSE professional one will provide project governance and implement HSE within the Vestas Projects. This position will give you the authority to instruct and advise the construction team, subcontractors etc.
This role will support the project teams in Queensland wind farms under Vestas control. This position will have flexible working arrangements.


Responsibilities:

  • The Service - Region 1 South Australia HSE Professional role is responsible for the implementation of Global, APAC and ANZ HSE risk reduction programs across the LoB, which may be identified from time to time in response to current and emerging risks or incidents. 
  • Work with operational staff to coach and support the application of the local HSEMS including direct support in Emergency Response and Incident Management processes
  • Improve situational risk awareness for work methods/tasks and the environment within which people work proactively seeking ways to reduce risks, and assure system and control effectiveness through performance monitoring, audits and inspections.

   Qualifications:

  •  Cert IV OHS/WHS in AUS legislative framework or higher; or
  •  5+ years operational experience in renewables & appropriate WHS/OHS exposure

 
Competencies:

•    Understanding and experience in software programs that support QSE i.e. SAP, Enablon, iAuditor,  Lead Auditor; and
     TapRoot or ICAM Investigation
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills, within a professional service provider environment
•    Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•    A strong commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality at all times
•    Excellent time management and report writing skills
•    Understanding and intermediate user of MS Office, MS Office skills, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and SAP
•    Good knowledge of OHS and Environment Legislation
