THE ROLE:
The HSEQ and Continuous Improvement Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
In this dynamic position, you will be the focal point for all Australasian operational locations, providing crucial support and leadership.
While coordinating with the Group HSEQ in Europe, you'll embrace the exciting opportunity to engage with diverse teams across various time zones. Your role will take you on national and international travel, offering a chance to experience their global operations firsthand.
THE PERSON:
This role will suit someone who enjoys sharing knowledge and working with others, who understands the basics of how best to influence and educate others on health and safety, who is comfortable to lead the HSEQ discussion in regular meetings with Tier 1 Oil and Gas client whilst also getting out to site to check on the occasional shutdown works or client focus groups when required.
To fit into the overall team you should enjoy a laugh, have a positive outlook, have a team first mentality and be willing to think outside the box.
The ideal person we’re looking for an may be a highly experienced HSEQ Manager or someone who is ready take a progression from a Supervisor level upwards.
Primary responsibilities
- Management of all HSEQ compliance and personnel.
- Deliver on Group and Regional HSEQ goals and objectives.
- Management representative for AS/NZS 4801 & ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety and AS/NZS 14001 Environmental Management Systems, AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality Management System and NATA accreditation.
- Monitor and maintain Legislative compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Manage incidents, investigations, corrective actions, non-conformances, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain localised IMS document control system.
- Manage all internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain third-party contractor compliance to Company standards.
- Manage workers compensation claims.
- Development of tender documentation and management plans.
- Client communications, reporting and service delivery.
- Compliance with Score and client policies, processes, and procedures.
- Implement lean principles within operations.
- Continuous improvement and efficiency improvements.
- Degree qualified in HSE and Quality Control or relevant industry experience in a similar role of > 8 years.
- A thorough understanding of and experience in valve and operator overhauls including onshore and offshore.
- Fully conversant with ISO and NATA accreditation requirements and auditing essential.
- Lean six sigma experience highly desirable.
