Job description

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team working with a large project team to deliver various construction projects. This is a full-time permanent position based initially in the Perth, CBD, with FIFO opportunities available.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager - Western Region, this position offers ownership of the full life cycle of the project, transactional HR matters specific to the project, including employee and industrial relations advice and collaboration with the national HR team.

In this busy and fast paced environment, you will work closely with your internal and external stakeholders including the project team, business, and client to achieve deadlines and deliver the best outcomes.

Your focus will include but is not limited to:

  • Works with HRM and managers to develop and deliver HR solutions in response to business needs.
  • Uphold relationships with key stakeholders to influence leadership of the team, provide coaching and assistance to managers with employee relations matters
  • Provide advice and assistance to Project Managers, Line Managers and employees on various human resource policies and procedural matters.
  • Drafting various HR correspondence eg; contracts, policies, change of conditions, organisational charts.
  • Provide and assists to develop reports and data analysis across a range of HR metrics.
  • Implement all HR initiatives and calendar events and provide ongoing guidance and support to stakeholders.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Passion for HR, driving cultural change, learning and building your HR career, building strong working relationships and providing agile support.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or relevant field desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role coupled with previous experience on site in a construction / engineering or mining environment.
  • Solid experience in performance management, case management and complex workplace investigations.
  • Ability to travel to site on business trips, if/when required.
