HVAC / Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

You are joining Robert Mann as a Technician with at least a few years' of experience, and ready to take your career to the next level. You have the attitude and aptitude to learn, and we'll teach you the rest.

• Perform maintenance and service related tasks on a variety of commercial HVAC projects.
• Attend break-down and service calls.
• Be on-call (approx 1 in every 4-6 weeks)
• Produce Service Reports for clients and office.
• Carry out your duties safely and report any potential safety hazards.
• Instruct and supervise apprentices.

You will be responsible to:

• Represent RMPL in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Provide adequate supervision and instruction to contractors and apprentices in your care.
• Maintain a high level of technical skills and knowledge through the undertaking of professional development.
• Assume responsibility / control of site safety when acting as the senior technician on site.

You will NEED TO have:

• Trade qualifications in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• ARCtick licence for the handling of refrigerant gas.
• Experience in developing and instructing apprentices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of occupational health and safety principles.
• Valid Car Drivers licence.
• Competent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.

It would be desirable, but not essential if you have:

• Experience in sales and quoting of service related jobs.
• Other relevant WorkCover or WHS related courses including WHS Consultation, Elevated work platforms, working at heights etc.
• Experience in installation and construction duties.
