About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced HVNL Compliance Supervisor to join our team working on a major project in Victoria. Reporting into the Project’s Logistic Lead, your role will be to ensure all parties within the supply chain actively adhere to and prevent breaches of the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the project with developing the CoR management Plan and strategy to manage CoR related risks
  • Provide expertise, mentoring and guidance to ensure that transport safety standards and legislative requirements are met by all parts of the project supply chain, as well as compliance with the Safety Management System
  • Conduct and coordinate assurance activities and support the close out of non-conformities
  • Develop specific documented practices that relate to transport safety/chain of responsibility either directly or through partnership with other key teams in safety, operations and support functions
  • Provide expert advice on issues that impact the effectiveness of the safety strategy, safety performance and opportunities to optimise safety outcomes.
  • Lead and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the relevant risk management program
  • Coordination and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Assisting the wider team to investigate and result any HVNL/COR related breaches or incidents
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, and complete reporting as required to the relevant stakeholders 
  • Conduct regular CoR and Vulnerable Road User training with heavy vehicle drivers 

About you

  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility legalisation and Heavy Vehicle national Law
  • Previous experience with safety and compliance auditing
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating logistics on construction sites to meet COR requirements
  • Operational experience in Logistics / Transport coordination
  • Safety values, communication skills, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts and night shifts when required. For any rostered weekend shift work completed, you will be eligible for additional compensation
  • Hold a current drivers license 
  • Diploma in HSC and/or Statement of Attainment in Chain of Responsibility or similar
