The Role
Our Buildings and Energy team has a strong team of highly experienced industry professionals who take a long term approach to client management.
Due to a strong pipeline of projects, our Canberra team is expanding and we are seeking an intermediate experienced Hydraulic Services Designer who can rise to the challenge of a busy multidisciplinary office. The position can be based anywhere along the East Coast of Australia and requires a competency in aspects of hydraulic services design including fire hydrants, fire hose reels and fire extinguishers. Having knowledge of fire sprinkler protection will be seen as an added benefit.
Could this be you?
As a specialist in our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for:-
- Detailed design services for all hydraulic/plumbing services (hot and cold water, sanitary drainage systems, gas services, and rainwater systems)
- Detailed design services for fire suppression services (hydrants, hose reels and extinguishers). Competency with fire sprinkler system design will be seen as a bonus.
- Self-motivated and self-managed
- Client liaison
- Ability to manage projects and opportunities to take on a multi-disciplinary project / design management role
- Knowledge and competency in the design and documentation of hydraulic services and/or
- Knowledge and competency in the design and documentation of fire suppression services
- Experience with authority submissions and construction phase services
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to interpret AS/NZS suite of standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and clients to deliver technical reports, develop winning proposals and provide fee estimates
- Trade or Tertiary qualified professional.
- Current QBCC or RPEQ registration an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Hydraulic and Fire suppression services design is desirable
