Job description

As a Hydraulic Attachment Repair and Service Technician, your primary responsibility is to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and attachments used in heavy machinery. Your expertise in hydraulic systems is critical to ensuring the functionality, safety, and longevity of these attachments, contributing significantly to operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on hydraulic attachments to identify malfunctions, leaks, or performance issues.
  2. Repair and Maintenance: Perform precise and efficient repairs on hydraulic systems and attachments, including seals, hoses, pumps, cylinders, valves, and other components, ensuring optimal functionality. 
  3. Scheduled Servicing: Execute routine maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, filter replacements, and hydraulic component checks based on manufacturer guidelines and maintenance schedules. 
  4. Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex technical problems in hydraulic systems, utilising diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and your expertise to ensure effective solutions. 
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service reports to track equipment history and facilitate future maintenance needs. 
  6. Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all repair and servicing activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  1. Hydraulic Expertise: Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems and components in heavy machinery attachments.
  2. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions efficiently. 
  3. Hands-on Experience: Previous experience in hydraulic system repair, maintenance, and familiarity with hydraulic attachments is highly advantageous.
  4. Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail when performing maintenance tasks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  5. Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, coordinating with other technicians and departments. 
  6. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering strictly to safety regulations and protocols throughout repair and servicing activities. 
  7. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for documentation and reporting purposes.
