Hydraulic / Mechanical Technician – Immediate Start
We are a Construction company based in Caboolture South and are currently seeking a Hydraulic / Mechanical Technician. The position involves maintaining, repairing, and improving hydraulic systems and equipment. Full Time position 5 Days a week between 6.30am to 2.30pm with the option of Part Time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and reactive maintenance of hydraulic systems and machinery.
- Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment, and components, focusing on hydraulics.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Comply with safety standards and maintain world-class housekeeping practices.
- Participate in root cause analysis to address any failures or quality issues in the hydraulic processes.
- Strip and assess pumps, motors, cylinders and hydraulic systems.
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical and/or hydraulic components
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety within the workshop
- Ad-hoc tasks storeman tasks
Essential:
- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
- 2+ Year Experience with proven experience in hydraulic system and mechanical systems, maintenance and repair
- A current drivers license
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to multi task, priorities and adhere to deadlines
- Ability to operate power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Has a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Good mechanical aptitude, with the ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve
- Good verbal and communication skills
Advantage:
- Relevant certifications and licenses in hydraulic mechanics are highly desirable
- A current MR license
- A current forklift license
- Construction White Card
