Hydraulic / Mechanical Technician – Immediate Start

We are a Construction company based in Caboolture South and are currently seeking a Hydraulic / Mechanical Technician.  The position involves maintaining, repairing, and improving hydraulic systems and equipment. Full Time position 5 Days a week between 6.30am to 2.30pm with the option of Part Time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and reactive maintenance of hydraulic systems and machinery.
• Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment, and components, focusing on hydraulics.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Comply with safety standards and maintain world-class housekeeping practices.
• Participate in root cause analysis to address any failures or quality issues in the hydraulic processes.
• Strip and assess pumps, motors, cylinders and hydraulic systems. 
• Assembly and fitting of mechanical and/or hydraulic components  
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process 
• Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety within the workshop 
• Ad-hoc tasks storeman tasks

Essential:

• Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
• 2+ Year Experience with proven experience in hydraulic system and mechanical systems, maintenance and repair
• A current drivers license
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Must be able to multi task, priorities and adhere to deadlines
• Ability to operate power tools in a safe and efficient manner 
• Has a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
• Good mechanical aptitude, with the ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve
• Good verbal and communication skills

Advantage:

• Relevant certifications and licenses in hydraulic mechanics are highly desirable
• A current MR license
• A current forklift license
• Construction White Card
