AddressMeal Preparation & Dishwashing
Mondays, 5 hours (flexible start time), located in client's home.
Rate: $40.26/hour casual with super etc,
or rate to be negotiated if working as a contractor with an ABN.
Work for a nice person in a well equipped modern kitchen preparing 1 large dinner meal and some food prep for lunches. The job involves tidying the kitchen and dishes, cooking, and clean up afterwards. Client has food intolerances, and will teach you their preferred recipes e.g. Thai & Indian curries, casseroles, soups, patties etc. meat and vegetarian based. Adherence to preferred recipes required rather than creativity. When the worker is confident with the meals, they will be able to work alone and at their preferred time.
While this role is working for a person with disability, they do not require further support beyond the tasks above. You would be someone who can work quietly and independently and respect the privacy of the client and the boundaries of the role.
Ideal candidate:
- Has good basic cooking skills, confidence with spices a bonus
- listens well and follows instructions
- works well without a lot of social chat
- is committed to respect privacy and dignity of person with disability
- has a good understanding of food hygiene
- uses kitchen equipment safely and carefully
