Kiewa Valley Kids (KVK) Childcare is a small, family owned and operated service, licensed for only 45 children per day. We pride ourselves on the personalised service that we offer to our families, children, and the local community. Our Centre is located in the heart of the Kiewa Valley, in Tangambalanga, a short 15-minute drive from Wodonga.
KVK have an exciting opportunity for an Inclusion Support Educator to join our current team of passionate educators. The purpose of this position is to ensure all children have genuine opportunities to access, participate and achieve positive learning outcomes.
Your Role:
• You will be expected to support the team in the daily running of the room
• Address barriers to inclusion
• Build capacity and capability to include children with additional needs
• Implement quality, inclusive, and equitable practices
• Be able to communicate with families and children
• Learn an understanding of the Early Years Framework and demonstrate how you use it in your daily practice.
Key requirements:
• Cert 3 or Studying
• First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
• Working with children check
Key Deliverables:
• Maintain a safe environment for children, families, and team members.
• Build capacity and capability to include children with additional needs.
• Ensure all children have genuine opportunities to access, participate and achieve positive learning outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families.
• Actively contribute to the education program in the room.
• Support a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a professional and positive work culture.
