About the business and the role:

WHO ARE WE:  NSF Australia (global standard auditors, consultants, and trainers) is the Australian Office for Global Food Safety and Public Health Company, NSF. We specialise in providing technical knowledge to food businesses throughout Australia and Asia Pacific. Our local team has a diverse background in Environmental Health, Quality Management, Food Retailing, Training, Communications and Compliance. 

THE POSITION:  We are looking for an Independent Contractor based in Perth, West Australia to undertake audits of Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) to be paid an hourly rate on an all inclusive basis. The role is responsible for evaluating, examining and verifying audit processes at QSRs to ensure the operational integrity of processes and compliance with food safety and legislative standards. You will also be required to document compliance with our client's policies through the use of risk assessment processes, elevating their customer's experiences and helping them build a brand that consumers can trust. You will assess each site against each client’s customised standards for Food Safety, Operational Excellence, Brand Standards and Customer Experience and report progress against these outcomes. In addition to this, you may be required to undertake other support functions that assist the Australian Operations Manager and the retail audit team.

THE PERSON:  You must have an exceptional eye for detail, great interpersonal skills and enjoy working with people from all walks of life.

We are looking for someone who will -

• Have the ability to travel within West Australia and to South Australia when required
• Have a current full Australian driver’s licence
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Be legally entitled to work in Australia
• Pass a criminal conviction check
• Work well independently – this is a remote position and each day will involve communicating with different people, clients, etc.
• Have a strong work ethic and dedication to meeting expectations, timelines and requirements.

OUR REQUIREMENTS: To be considered, you should hold a Food Sciences degree or similar qualification or a qualification in Food Safety or HACCP together with food industry experience, particularly that relating to QSRs and/or restaurant-based operations. It will also be considered advantageous for you to have administrative experience with business software applications and database reporting.
