Job Description:

• Join our Customer Care Team dedicated to supporting Indigenous Community Customers.
• A unique opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates (S126 exemption).
• Work in Bedford Park, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:30pm CST.

How will I help?
Through our dedicated phone-based business, you will be part of a team of community minded bankers who make a difference to our customers by understanding who they are and what they need. We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting Indigenous and remote communities and strive to help people to achieve their financial goals.

The Indigenous Connections team are dedicated to high-quality conversations servicing the everyday banking needs of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Remote Community customers.

As an Indigenous Connection Banker you will provide service on everyday banking enquiries from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers. You will build genuine personal connections with your customers by connecting with sensitivity, respect and compassion.

The role

• Take ownership of customer requests and issues and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide banking solutions to our existing bank clients and new direct clients.
• You will be measured and rewarded for sharing best practice, meeting targets, receiving positive customer ratings and strong referral activity.
• Manage relationships with referral partners and stakeholders across the business.
• Comply and remain up to date with industry compliance, policy and legislative standards.

What do I need to succeed?

• 1-2 years experience in a customer centric company or role.
• A genuine desire to support Indigenous customers.
• Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the complex cultural protocols of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• A true desire to help our customers meet their financial goals.
• Ability to drive deep and enduring customer relationships and build long term relationships with referral and business partners.
