About the role
Reporting to the Paint Shop Supervisor, you'll will be responsible for preparing and painting components and fabricated items and abrasive blasting. Delivering high quality presentation to our customers.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Able to follow paint specifications and documentation.
- Examining surfaces to be treated.
- Preparing and mixing paints and any other substances to be applied.
- Able to follow safety procedures and monitor quality control.
- Preparing surfaces for paint application.
- Mix and colour match paints to meet the requirements of the job.
- Brush touch, paint/blend any defective areas of coated items.
- To ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times.
- General upkeep of equipment. (Housekeeping)
In order to be successful you must possess the following:
•Current forklift licence
•Good communication skills,
•Self motivation, (Can do attitude)
•Ability to work unsupervised,
•Ability to read engineering drawings (would be favorable)
•High level of Commitment
•Applicants must be eligible to work permanently in AustraliaHourly rate will be negotiated based on experience and ability.
