Job description

An entry requirement for employment with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is that you must be an Australian citizen. Your role: As an Infantry Soldier, you’ll learn to carry out patrols and surveillance tasks, cordon and search tasks as well the skills required to provide security for other units and agencies. You’ll learn how to locate enemy targets, fight at close quarters and how to effectively seize and hold ground. Your duties include, but aren’t limited to: Locating enemies by gathering intelligence through patrol and surveillance Seizing and holding ground from enemy forces Close combat and application of lethal and non-lethal force Offensive and Defensive Operations Providing security for Army units and vital assets Humanitarian assistance missions International training, advise and assist missions

The majority of these positions are located in North QLD, QLD, SA and the NT. Salary: In the Army you'll get paid a competitive salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $76,700 per annum plus generous super.
