The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within the New Women's and Children's Hospital (New WCH) Project team as a Nurse/Midwife Consultant on a long-term contract, working in a full-time capacity.
The Nurse/Midwife Consultant uses clinical and corporate knowledge and experience for the purpose of providing specialist Infection Prevention and Control advice to the New WCH Project.
As a member of the New WCH Clinical and Operations Team, you will;
- Demonstrate understanding of the Australian Healthcare Facility Guidelines and their application within new building and renovation projects.
- Actively identify areas or opportunities for improvement; initiate monitoring and assess progress with the goal of achieving high quality patient outcomes and improving service delivery with the build.
- Provide expert advice on Infection Prevention and Control requirements, including selection of materials, Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FFE).
- Assess and review workflows in order to ensure the New WCH building supports clinical activity and flow support the build
- Identify issues within scope of practice and providing Infection Prevention and Control expertise
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant standards, clinical guidelines, and advanced clinical practice.
- Act as a resource expert for other members of the New WCH project team
