Information Architect

Location: ACT 
Duration: until June 30th of 2025 with extension
Citizenship requirements:  Must be an Australian Citizen with NV1 clearance

Purpose of Position:

We are recruiting an Information Architect for our client, a federal government agency. The role is crucial in delivering key elements of the agency's Information Management Strategy, establishing and enhancing governance, and leveraging information as a strategic asset. The Information Architect will work closely with senior leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design the agency’s information management strategy and architecture.
• Support the Intranet Redevelopment initiative, focusing on content taxonomy and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop an enterprise information model.
• Provide advice to ICT initiatives and assist project teams with data models to align with enterprise standards.

Essential Criteria:

1. Tertiary qualification in Data Management, Information Management, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or equivalent.
2. Experience in developing Information Architecture aligned with business operations and strategic goals.
3. Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and a strong understanding of data governance principles.
4. Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration with senior executives, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
5. Extensive experience as a Data Architect or Information Architect in a large, complex government organization.

Desirable Criteria:

• Formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) is highly regarded.
