As a member of the Compliance and Governance unit lead the Content Manager (CM) expansion work and deliver CM expansion within the Department of Health (DoH) by providing domain specialist skills and knowledge and responding to the specific business needs of stakeholders.

The Role:

  • Prepare and/or undertake high-level briefings, advice, analysis, reports, plans, documentation, submissions, and correspondence for a diverse audience including executive, senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and delivery of Information Management activities, including supporting and/or undertaking governance activities, Information Management assessments and audits and workflow implementations.
  • Manage and undertake projects and business analysis activities which include providing authoritative, consultative program advice.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement through participation in local and national forums, and knowledge of current and emerging trends relating to Information Management practices, that informs the development of knowledge and advice to share within the team.
  • Proactively seek, develop, and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Compliance and Governance engagement and communications strategies regarding IM are appropriately tailored to the needs of target audiences.

The Compliance & Governance team:

  • The Compliance & Governance team supports corporate records and Information Management for the department by administrating Open Text Content Manager 10 (CM).
  • It is a small, dedicated team of IM professionals, and has been tasked with delivering improved use of CM across the department, we focus on a support-based approach using best practice.
  • This role's purpose is to work with business areas across the department to deliver CM expansion by providing domain specialist skills and knowledge and responding to the specific business needs of stakeholders.
  • We are implementing a 'compliance by design' approach, using the tools available to improve business process and build in appropriate compliance steps reducing the impact of good IM on the end user.
  • The role will make use of workflow tools to assist in delivering improved IM processes.

Position Features

  • Some regular out of hours work or on-call may be required to meet specific needs and/or deadlines.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of six months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or experience in Government Information Management

  2. Current Driver’s Licence
