A bit about the role

Working in our Application Support Team, the Information Systems Specialist will contribute to efficiently supporting the Enterprise Record Management system and integrated systems.

You will provide operational systems administration, implement, and oversee Microsoft’s SharePoint web-based document collaboration platform. Also include configuring our SharePoint platform, adding document libraries, and developing shared storage space and backup procedures.

Provide expert advice and advocate for enhancing Information Management Systems knowledge across the organisation.

What you’ll deliver

  • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting ensure optimized user-experiences.
  • Plan and deliver practical and strategic Information Management Projects and Initiatives
  • Liaise with the business units to assist business practices by using well-constructed workflows and webforms to gain business efficiencies across Council.
  • Provide general system administration of a SaaS based Enterprise Records Management system.
  • Measure and report on Information Management Services performance as required.

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Information Management or industry certification or significant relevant experience in an equivalent Information System Analyst role.
  • Expert understanding of Information Management systems and database administration.
  • Expert working knowledge of an electronic document and records management system preferably Technology One ECM and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a SharePoint administrator.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Experience in measuring, monitoring, and reporting on the performance of information management services.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
