Infrastructure Architect

Company Overview: Our client is Australia's largest construction company is looking for an Infrastructure Architect in Perth on both Perm and contract basis As we continue to expand our cloud capabilities, we are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Architect with extensive experience in Azure cloud to join our team and lead the design and implementation of robust cloud solutions.

Position Overview: As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect specializing in Azure cloud, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to support our organization's strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures. This role requires deep expertise in Azure services, cloud architecture best practices, and a track record of successfully delivering complex cloud projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Azure cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and align with industry best practices.
• Architect scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud environments using Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across all cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing systems and applications.
• Implement security controls and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, mentoring junior architects and engineers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, with at least 4 years of experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud services and architecture, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Experience with Infrastructure Projects & Migration, Infrastructure Design, Implement, Cost Analysis, Growth Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
• Experience with O365 Architecture and Migration Services, Datacentre Migration
• Experience with establishing CI/CD practises by providing a Framework
