Form of work Talent Street is looking for an Infrastructure Solution Architect to work with a progressive Private Organisation.
Location: South Brisbane
Contract: 6 months, with the possibilty of extension
The Infrastructure Solution Architect will design and engineer solutions across the Digital Workplace Product stack, including the following technology components:
Identity – Active Directory, Azure AD and supporting technologies including identity governance platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity)
Mobility – InTune MDM, MAM and Conditional Access
Citrix Virtual Desktops, NetScaler and Wyse Device Management.
Role Specific Expectations
Delivering architectures for new or existing system upgrades in alignment with enterprise architectural goals.
Leading Project Managers through an infrastructure “discovery” phase and identification of key infrastructure products / dependencies for their Projects.
Providing solution analysis and design services to Application Project Managers, as required.
Escalation of high-risk solutions to Program Management for attention and action.
For Tier 1 & 2 applications create the necessary infrastructure solution design, achieve Project, Enterprise Architectural and Operational sign off before commencing solution infrastructure build.
Defining the work packages required to deliver the identify products, including type of resource, and estimated effort.
Assisting Project Managers with developing a schedule for their Projects Infrastructure dependencies, especially sequencing of work packages.
Facilitating meetings and manage any changes to technical standards which may impact other areas in alignment.
Technical Competencies
A demonstratable knowledge of the following domains and context is an advantage
Understanding of the functions, benefits, and limitations of enterprise on premise & cloud host solutions including Azure, O365 & Colo
Understanding of enterprise networking including LAN \ WAN \ MPLS \ VPN
Understanding of security systems and functions including Firewalls, IDS, IPS
Understanding of network load balancing solutions
Understanding of enterprise block and file storage systems and environments (SANs \ NAS)
Understanding of enterprise server environments based on VMware and Dell/EMC
Understanding of enterprise database environments based on MS SQL server & Cache
Understanding of enterprise middleware environments and integration (Rest API’s)
Understanding of Microsoft operating systems, active directory
Advanced experience, knowledge and skill in applying ITIL & TOFAG frameworks.
Effective independent time management
Organisational skills including prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to function as a senior team member, maintains confidentiality, be flexible and work under high pressure situations.
Demonstrated high level communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of workplace health and safety, infection control, equal employment opportunities and anti-discrimination as they relate to the workplace.
